Job Description
The Senior Manager, Fintech will cover Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania and will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with fintechs, payment facilitators (PayFacs), merchant aggregators, digital platforms, ISVs, PSPs, and emerging commerce enablers. The role will focus on driving fintech expansion, accelerating digital commerce, and delivering revenue growth through innovative acceptance and merchant solutions.
The successful candidate will identify, structure, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships that expand fintechs solutions, enhance payment capabilities, and create differentiated value propositions for fintechs across multiple segments. This role will work closely with Product, Sales, Acceptance Solutions, Risk, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to deliver impactful market outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and deepen relationships with key fintechs and digital banks across Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania
- Identify commercial opportunities and risks, focusing on driving sales and structuring deals to promote growth
- Defend and grow existing account revenue across Core, Commercial & Money Movement, and Value-Added Services
- Identify opportunities to expand acceptance in underpenetrated segments to grow market share
- Identify opportunities to increase transaction volume through digital commerce, in-app payments, mobile acceptance, embedded finance, and emerging payment technologies
- Collaborate with partners to launch innovative merchant acquiring and acceptance solutions
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to deliver client-centric solutions
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Visa to deliver integrated solutions
- Act as a thought leader internally and externally for fintech and digital banking
- Represent Visa in client engagements and industry events
- Manage and track budgets for specific programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
- Support scorecard tracking by monitoring KPIs and ensuring timely reporting against targets
- OPEX management through spend tracking and optimization
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring coordination and execution
- Identify and support emerging business opportunities with proper internal alignment
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and business development in payments, fintech, or acquiring
- Strong commercial deal modelling and negotiation experience
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem
- Familiarity with omnichannel commerce, embedded payments, tokenization, digital wallets, and platform business models
- Experience working with PayFacs, PSPs, gateways, fintechs, marketplaces, or merchant technology providers
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decisions
- Strong ownership mindset with ability to identify and pursue opportunities •
- Knowledge of payment trends and Visa products across core, commercial and VAS
- Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities
- Agile, innovative and adaptable mindset
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional leadership skills
