Technical Infrastructure (TI) is the foundation of Google - the global data centers, networks and integrating hardware and software that powers both our unique customer products and services and our internal operations.

In this role, you will be a part of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function and provide financial and analytical insights and business planning support to the Technical Infrastructure team. You will dissect complex problems, deliver insights and help leaders throughout the business, making critical strategic and resource allocation decisions, and strike the right balance with risk management and controls.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage TI unit costs and end-to-end Capital Expenditure (CapEx) processes, including forecasting, reporting, annual planning, and variance analysis.
  • Deploy scenario and predictive modeling to identify financial risks, evaluate self-funding opportunities, and drive spending re-prioritization.
  • Collaborate with TI leadership, corporate finance, and engineering to align investment decisions with organizational efficiency goals.
  • Advocate for workflows by developing standardized, AI-augmented processes covering CapEx from demand/supply inputs to spend approvals.
  • Construct and present complex analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, decision-impacting manner.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, private equity, corporate strategy or a related function.
  • Experience with programming (e.g., SQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with database query (SQL coding and analysis).
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Knowledge of core finance processes and standard enterprise finance systems (e.g. SAP).
  • Strong problem-framing, problem-structuring and project management skills, and the ability to communicate insights.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adopt Google specific tools.
