Overview:

The Senior Financial Accountant Analyst supports the Canada Accounts Payable function by ensuring accurate invoice processing, payment execution, account reconciliations, and compliance with financial controls and company policies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end close activities, resolving payment-related issues, and driving continuous process improvements across Accounts Payable operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Review, validate, and process Accounts Payable transactions in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and support supplier payment activities, including investigation and resolution of payment exceptions.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reporting and reconciliation requirements.
  • Utilize ERP systems, including SAP and E-Automate, to manage financial transactions and reporting activities.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve invoicing, payment, and banking-related concerns.
  • Participate in automation, standardization, and process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, accounting, finance operations, banking operations, or a related function.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial transactions, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, E-Automate, Oracle, Concur, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Prior experience in a BPO, shared services, or global business services environment supporting night shift operations is an advantage.
