Senior Finance Manager, YouTube Music
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.
You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You'll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $219000 - $305000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance lead for global music partnerships efforts (e.g. licensing), owning the full suite of agreement analysis deliverables and analytical agenda development across the team.
- Partner closely with product and business senior leadership to develop and iterate financial targets, margin levers and resource investment/trade-off frameworks.
- Own a key analytical agenda and be a thought leader in helping to shape agreement structures and provide strategic financial guidance on major initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy and financial controls throughout the process (e.g., minimal forecast variance, structured performance reporting, and close alignment with Partnerships, Product Management, and Accounting to maintain data integrity).
- Manage a team of analysts. Provide thoughtful leadership and career development, as well as be available as a mentor to others across the broader YouTube Finance team.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business strategy, management consulting, a related function, or 12 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience as a people manager.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree (ie. MBA) or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and guiding others through it.
- Excellent problem solving, communication and people management skills, with the ability to persuade through disciplined use of data and comfortable distilling complex topics into concise narratives for executive consumption.
- Exceptional dexterity with presentation and spreadsheet tools.
