About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytically minded Financial Reporting & Consolidation to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build deep expertise in group consolidation, financial statement preparation, and reporting under Ind AS/IFRS within a fast-paced fintech environment. You'll work closely with senior finance leaders, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Ind AS
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations
- Perform intercompany eliminations, minority interest calculations, and consolidation adjustments for group entities
- Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for statutory and management reporting
- Assist with statutory audits, tax audits, and coordination with external auditors by providing schedules, explanations, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (Ind AS 110, 111, 112, 28, etc.) and regulatory requirements applicable to fintech entities
- Support preparation of board decks, investor reporting packs, and management information systems (MIS) reports
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in automating recurring reporting tasks (e.g., using Excel, Power BI, or ERP tools)
- Maintain accurate documentation of accounting policies, processes, and controls
- Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy across financial systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CA preferred
- 0–4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, consolidation, audit, or controllership (articleship experience considered for freshers)
- Strong understanding of Ind AS / IFRS accounting standards, particularly consolidation standards (Ind AS 110, 111, 112, 28)
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modelling); familiarity with ERP systems - SAP is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Good communication skills to coordinate with auditors, cross-functional teams, and leadership
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic, fast-growing environment
- Familiarity with reporting/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx
