Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer is a developing professional who owns and improves specific manufacturing processes within a wafer fab or assembly/test facility. This role is responsible for sustaining daily operations, analyzing process data, and leading projects to improve yield, quality, and cost. Working with general supervision, the Process Engineer helps drive the stability and efficiency of the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns a specific set of manufacturing tools or processes, responsible for their daily performance, health, and control (SPC).
  • Analyzes process data to identify trends, shifts, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Leads small projects to improve process yield, reduce cost, or enhance quality, using methodologies like Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).
  • Troubleshoots process and equipment problems to determine root cause and implement effective corrective actions.
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree.
  • Experience in a process, equipment, or manufacturing engineering role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., JMP).
