The Role:
Our Company is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer position is responsible for leading complex manufacturing engineering initiatives, partnering with manufacturing leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and implement world class manufacturing practices through more efficient and effective methods of producing products and processes. This role drives improvements in safety, quality, efficiency, cost, capacity, and agility through advanced process improvement, technical leadership, and strategic problem solving. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for testing, evaluating, and improving products and processes to established standards. Acts as a senior technical liaison between operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and new product development teams to ensure consistent performance, successful product transfer, and sustainable manufacturing capability.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate existing processes and implement new processes techniques to improve product flow, part quality and first pass yields to reduce product cost and lead time.
- Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives that require advanced technical judgment, cross-functional alignment, and measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and productivity.
- Works with production personnel to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by eliminating quality issues, design issues, improving capacity on bottle-neck processes and providing continuous support.
- Partner with production teams to analyze manufacturing performance, quality data, customer feedback, and audit results; resolve systemic process, design, quality, and capacity constraints; and drive corrective actions that improve on-time delivery and prevent recurrence.
- Analyze complex manufacturing performance trends, customer feedback, audit results, and quality data to identify systemic issues, drive root cause corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives that improve safety, quality, flow, yield, cost, delivery, capacity, and productivity while reducing waste and lead time.
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Facilities to evaluate production layouts and implement facility improvements that optimize workflow, capacity, safety, and output.
- Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions by partnering with development teams, analyzing validation results, qualifying products, processes, and equipment, and completing release-to-manufacturing deliverables that ensure robust, scalable, and capable production.
- Develop and present capital investment proposals, ROI analyses, and technical recommendations; coordinate the design, purchase, construction, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and fixtures with site leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and test specifications, and train production personnel on process setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Champion a safe, organized, and continuously improving workplace through active participation in 6S and Kaizen activities, adherence to established safety practices, and prompt identification and reporting of hazards.
- Provide technical coaching and mentorship to manufacturing engineers, technicians, and production team members by sharing best practices, reviewing technical work, and supporting skill development.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or highly related field technical diploma a plus
- 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing engineering
- Hands-on experience in capital equipment or semiconductor manufacturing, including expertise in machining, high-purity welding and fabrication, electromechanical assembly, or ultra-high-purity cleaning processes.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification or experience
- Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP/MRP system, including manufacturing master data, BOMs, routings, and production planning
- Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing process-control documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, inspection criteria, and standardized work instructions
- Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo for tooling, fixtures, layouts, and design reviews
- Experience with PLM, MES or electronic document-control systems and project-management tools
- Proficiency with data-analysis and visualization using tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or JMP
- Excellent written & verbal skills

Compensation: $103,000-$110,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
