Job Description

Visa is seeking a proactive and strategic finance leader to join the Acceptance Solutions Finance team. As a senior finance leader supporting one of Visa's fastest-growing businesses, the Senior Director will partner closely with executives and cross-functional teams to provide the insights, analytics, and strategic guidance needed to drive sound business decisions.

The ideal candidate brings experience in strategic finance, consulting, investment banking, or a related field. They should be adept at solving complex problems, navigating ambiguity, and translating complex data into actionable insights that influence leadership decisions. Strong financial modeling, business partnership, strategic planning, resource allocation, and investment evaluation experience is preferred.

Finance Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the finance leader supporting Acceptance Solutions businesses.
  • Partner closely with Product, Technology, Commercial, Operations, and regional leadership teams to drive growth, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships and influence outcomes across a complex, matrixed organization.

Business Performance & Financial Insights

  • Deliver actionable insights on revenue growth, payment volume, margins, transaction economics, pricing, and operating leverage.
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate performance drivers, assess risks and opportunities, and identify actions to improve results.
  • Establish a clear connection between operational metrics and financial outcomes to improve visibility and decision-making across the organization.

Data, Analytics & Finance Transformation

  • Partner around efforts to build scalable data foundations, dashboards, reporting, and analytics that connect operational performance to financial results.
  • Drive simplification, automation, and AI-enabled improvements across finance processes and decision-support capabilities.
  • Translate complex and often unstructured data into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and executive-level narratives.
  • Drive operational excellence across key end-to-end business processes, partnering with Sales, Sales Operations, Pricing, Billing, Collections, and Finance teams to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and business outcomes.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Foster a culture of accountability, business partnership, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach and develop future finance leaders while driving strong execution and organizational impact.

This role is a People Manager Hybrid role to be located in our San Francisco office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work
  • Strategic finance, consulting, investment banking background.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex information, and provide clear recommendations that influence leadership decision-making.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and business partnership capabilities, including experience evaluating investments, growth opportunities, resource allocation decisions, and business performance.
  • Experience building data-driven reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive results across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, strategic finance, consulting, investment banking, or related fields.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $210,900.00 to $ 369,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
