Senior Director, Government Affairs
Oracle Corporate Affairs is seeking a Senior Director, Government Affairs. The Senior Director will report to the Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. In collaboration with a diverse portfolio of internal and external stakeholders, the Senior Director will serve as one of the company’s Legislative and Executive Branch lobbyists and a key advisor to senior company leaders. Working in close partnership with his / her government affairs colleagues, specific business units, and other relevant functional experts within the company, the candidate will identify, prioritize and lead advocacy efforts to drive domestic legislative, policy, and business initiatives.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of the role to the success of the organization; has a robust understanding of information technology across a broad spectrum of business and policy priorities; has demonstrated success in achieving results in support of specific initiatives and objectives; and is experienced in working with the Democratic party.
The Senior Director will be based in Washington, DC, and will be expected to primarily perform their duties as an in-office employee.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in public policy, working with, serving, and influencing government agencies .
- Experience briefing and staffing senior-level executives.
- Superior written, oral communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience preparing policy briefings, testimony for Congressional hearings, responses to Executive and Legislative requests for information on policy matters, etc.
- Established relationships with key Democratic policy makers including strong connectivity to information technology focused Congressional Members and oversight/appropriations Committees, Executive Branch departments, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Experience in public policy, working with leaders of government and industry to influence public policy, monitor government initiatives and advocate for specific plans to advance the company's objectives.
- Experience representing a company or advocating for a position in government forums or industry group meetings.

- Understanding of information technology policies.
- Experience in political giving strategies and working with corporate political action committees.
