THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Senior Materials Technician to join our Operations team supporting a fast-paced data center lab environment in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role sits at the intersection of logistics, inventory management, engineering operations, and cutting-edge technology development.

As a key member of the team, you will help ensure critical hardware, systems, boards, servers, and materials move efficiently through AMD's lab and test environments. You will partner closely with engineering teams, lab personnel, logistics partners, and operations stakeholders to support the receipt, tracking, movement, inspection, and shipment of assets that support some of AMD's most innovative technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support day-to-day inventory management, material tracking, and logistics operations within AMD's Secaucus data center lab environment.
Receive, inspect, process, and track inbound and outbound materials, equipment, and assets.
Perform SAP transactions and maintain accurate inventory records to ensure material visibility and traceability.
Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft tools to support inventory tracking, reporting, and operational workflows.
Coordinate movement of materials between engineering, testing, failure analysis, rework, and operational teams.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy across multiple projects and workstreams.
Monitor material status and provide updates to key stakeholders across engineering and operations organizations.
Partner with logistics providers and internal teams to support shipment planning and material movements.
Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of organization

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory management and material tracking.
Experience supporting inventory control, logistics, materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain activities.
Experience working within a data center, laboratory, semiconductor, manufacturing, or technology environment.
Knowledge of receiving, inspection, shipping, and material handling processes.
Experience utilizing SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft applications.
Ability to track multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and a willingness to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency.
Experience handling technical equipment, hardware systems, boards, servers, or high-value assets is a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant industry experience will be considered.

LOCATION: Secaucus, New Jersey

This position is primarily onsite and supports AMD's data center lab operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in an operational environment and supporting occasional overtime as business needs require.

Compensation: Expected salary range: USD 41,930.00 per year to USD 59,900.00 per year
