Description
Our EMEA Indirect Procurement team selects and acquires goods and services that support Sales, Service, Construction, Manufacturing, Supercharging, Energy, and Retail Development operations across EMEA. By leveraging in-house procurement tools, we drive efficiencies and strategic sourcing to enhance cost-effectiveness. In this role, you’ll collaborate with centralized Tesla teams, as well as with local stakeholders across the region.
As a Buyer, you will focus on supporting the procurement of goods, and services that are necessary to support Tesla's growth in EMEA. You’ll gain hands-on experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to support a greener, more efficient transportation strategy across EMEA.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end RFx lifecycle for key indirect categories — from market intelligence and supplier identification to bid evaluation, negotiation, contract finalization and supplier performance — ensuring value, scale, and risk mitigation.
- Lead commodity management and end-to-end procurement processes for key indirect procurement categories, supporting Tesla’s business growth and operational efficiency.
- Execute vendor management strategies to build and sustain strategic relationships with our suppliers, including new supplier onboarding, contract renegotiations, and portfolio rationalization.
- Lead high-stakes contract negotiations with our suppliers, securing optimal terms, pricing, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and innovation incentives while balancing value, risk, and long-term partnership.
- Oversee supplier performance management programs, including KPIs, and escalation protocols; drive continuous improvement across the supplier base.
- Serve as the primary procurement liaison for key stakeholders; align sourcing strategy with business priorities and facilitate high-level decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, EHS&S, and internal procurement policies; lead the implementation of robust frameworks for governance, audit readiness, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of procurement experience in strategic procurement.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, and process improvement in complex environments.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; ability to lead high-stakes contract discussions.
