Texas Instruments is seeking a bilingual Security Specialist to lead physical security operations in Aguascalientes, Mexico and provide primarily virtual oversight and support for TI PDC operations in Guadalajara, Mexico, with occasional site visits to help ensure security standards are maintained. This role is responsible for protecting people, facilities, and operations through strong site leadership, contract guard force oversight, security systems management, risk assessment, incident response, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This leader will work closely with site leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure security programs enable safe, resilient, and efficient operations. Success in this role requires strong partnership and collaboration, sound judgment, operational discipline, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day physical security operations for the Aguascalientes site, including access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, key control, and perimeter security
• Provide primarily virtual security oversight, coordination, and operational support for TI PDC operations in Guadalajara, Mexico, with occasional site visits to help ensure security standards are maintained and operational expectations are met
• Manage contract guard force performance, staffing levels, training standards, post orders, site coverage, and daily supervision
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, post orders, and standard operating guidelines aligned with TI expectations
• Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses; develop mitigation plans and track corrective actions to closure
• Coordinate incident response, emergency response activities, and support crisis management and business continuity efforts
• Serve as subject matter expert for physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, and related platforms
• Lead security infrastructure and technology projects from concept through commissioning, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, testing, and operational handoff
• Participate in security design reviews for new construction, expansions, and renovation projects to ensure layered security principles are incorporated early
• Manage third-party security vendors and integrators, including statements of work, service expectations, KPIs, SLAs, performance reviews, and invoice validation
• Maintain audit readiness and help ensure compliance with internal TI policies, local requirements, and contractual obligations
• Develop, track, and report security metrics, including incident trends, response times, guard performance, system uptime, corrective actions, and project milestones
• Prepare clear, executive-ready updates and briefings on security risks, incidents, and program performance
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness across security operations in Aguascalientes and Guadalajara
• Build strong partnerships across site leadership, regional stakeholders, and cross-functional teams including Facilities, EHS, HR, Legal, IT, and Operations
• Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, professionalism, accountability, and respectful collaboration
• Some travel is required between Aguascalientes and Guadalajara to support operational needs, stakeholder engagement, site assessments, and verification of security standards
   

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or a related security function
• 2 years of experience managing contract guard services and third-party vendors
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken formats
• Experience conducting investigations, managing incidents, and coordinating response activities
• Experience developing and implementing SOPs, post orders, escalation protocols, and site security procedures
• Willingness and ability to support incidents and operational needs during nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability and willingness to travel as required between assigned TI Mexico locations to support business and operational needs

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong partnership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions, sites, and stakeholder groups
• Working knowledge of modern physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and security operations best practices
• Demonstrated experience leading security-related projects such as access control, CCTV, perimeter protection, system upgrades, or construction support
• Degree in criminal justice, homeland security, intelligence management, risk management, business administration, public administration, or a related field
• Professional certification such as CPP, PSP, PMP, or equivalent
• Experience supporting complex or critical operating environments such as manufacturing, logistics, R&D, corporate campuses, or similar industrial operations
• Experience participating in security design reviews for new construction or major renovations
• Strong vendor management experience including SOW development, SLA/KPI oversight, budgeting, and performance audits
• Experience building dashboards, performance metrics, and executive-level reporting
• Demonstrated ability to drive security program maturity and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience working in a multi-site or matrixed environment with local and regional stakeholders
• Familiarity with security operations in Mexico and the practical realities of supporting distributed site operations
