Description and Requirements
Brazil Software Services is a group dedicated to designing and creating state-of-the-art software products that empower Motorola mobile devices. The team's objective is to develop best-in-class software systems that deliver secure, reliable, and delightful user experiences.
To achieve this goal, the Brazil team collaborates with global software organizations across Android Applications, Android Platform, Cloud Development, User Experiences, Quality Engineering, and Software Tools.
This position is part of a highly skilled Android Platform team focused on developing advanced security solutions and strategic software integrations that enhance Motorola's product portfolio and enable new monetization opportunities. The team works closely with Product Management, Architecture, Security, Business Development, and external technology partners to deliver differentiated software experiences across Motorola devices.
The engineer will contribute to the development and integration of security-focused solutions and services, including strategic partnerships and ecosystem providers.
This position is based on Jaguariúna-SP.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and integration of security-focused software solutions and partner technologies into Motorola products.
- Collaborate with external partners to define requirements, integration models, APIs, certification requirements, and release plans.
- Analyze software requirements and define technical approaches aligned with product and business objectives.
- Drive the design, implementation, validation, deployment, and maintenance of mobile security features and services.
- Act as the primary technical interface between Motorola engineering teams and external technology partners.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to external development partners and research institutes when applicable.
- Work closely with Android Framework, System Software, Applications, Security, Product Management, and Architecture teams.
- Interface with hardware and software vendors to ensure successful solution integration.
- Identify technical risks, propose mitigation plans, and drive resolution of complex software issues.
- Communicate project status, schedules, risks, and technical recommendations to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Contribute to Motorola's strategy for premium security services, privacy protection, parental controls, device protection, and subscription-based software offerings.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Practical and relevant experience in software development.
- Strong experience in Android software development.
- Experience leading complex software development projects.
- Experience working with external technology partners, vendors, or research institutes.
- Experience defining software architecture and technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across global organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Android Framework, AOSP, System Services, and platform-level software development.
- Experience with mobile security technologies, privacy solutions, device protection, parental control solutions, or cybersecurity products.
- Knowledge of Android security architecture, application sandboxing, permissions framework, and secure software design principles.
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs, cloud-connected services, and partner ecosystems.
- Familiarity with security-focused platforms such as GrapheneOS or similar privacy-oriented technologies.
- Understanding of subscription-based services and software monetization models.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with accelerated product life cycles.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving market opportunities.
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.
