Security Architect

Role Summary

In this role, you will assess the security posture of McAfee’s AI solutions, cloud environments, cloud products, and third-party SaaS services. You will evaluate security architectures and integrations, identify security gaps, and recommend effective remediation, mitigation strategies, and security guardrails. A strong understanding of AI security, cloud security, and regulatory compliance frameworks is essential. You will stay current with emerging technologies and security trends to help ensure McAfee’s systems and services meet the highest standards of security and resilience.

This is a Hybrid position located at our Bangalore, India development center. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to our Bangalore office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

Position Details

About This Role:

• Ensure cloud solutions are designed and implemented in compliance with applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks and conduct regular security assessments to evaluate the security posture of solutions and services.
• Effectively leverage AI-powered tools to enhance security architecture reviews while continuously developing expertise in AI technologies, emerging threats, and evolving ways of working.
• Evaluate security architectures and designs to assess the adequacy of security controls, identify security gaps, and recommend appropriate remediation, mitigation strategies, and security guardrails.
• Assess SaaS platforms and integrations to determine the effectiveness and adequacy of their security design.
• Perform a variety of security-related activities, including but not limited to threat modeling, knowledge transfer sessions, and security training.
• Continuously identify, define, and recommend security guardrails that can be implemented across multiple Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).
• Champion security across the organization by collaborating with security champions, security teams, and business units to develop and deliver secure solutions that protect McAfee’s data and systems.
• Stay current with the latest security trends, emerging threats, industry best practices, and evolving technologies.
• Contribute to the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of cloud security policies, standards, principles, and procedures.

About You:

• You should have 5-9 years of experience in cloud security architecture, with hands-on experience in one or more major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• You should have experience with cloud-native security guardrails, security services, and third-party security tools.
• You should have experience with AI tools, automation, copilots, custom GPTs, LLM-based applications, MCP servers, or workflow solutions that support security architecture reviews.
• You should possess strong knowledge of cloud networking architecture, network security, cloud IAM (Identity and Access Management), authentication, authorization, application security protocols, and cryptography.
• You should have experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, which is strongly preferred.
• You should have an understanding of cloud automation and orchestration tools and techniques.
• You should be passionate about cloud security and demonstrate the initiative to drive outcomes despite ambiguity and evolving requirements.
• You should possess a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
• You should be committed to staying current with the latest cloud security best practices, standards, and emerging technologies.
• You should demonstrate strong teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, along with resourcefulness.
• You should preferably hold, or be working toward, a recognized cloud security certification such as AWS Certified Security Specialty, ISC2 CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), or CSA CCSK (Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge).
