About the Role
As a Securities Operations Associate II, you will support the efficient execution, monitoring, and control of securities-related operational activities. You will analyze daily financial transactions, identify and resolve discrepancies, and help ensure accurate processing across securities systems and workflows. This role partners with internal teams and clients to maintain operational excellence, strengthen controls, and support regulatory compliance. Success is measured through accuracy, timeliness, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
- Monitor day-to-day securities transactions and operational processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve transaction exceptions, discrepancies, and reconciliation breaks.
- Provide client support for securities-related activities, inquiries, and operational issue resolution.
- Maintain data integrity across securities platforms, records, and reporting processes.
- Perform operational controls and validations to support risk management and financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve securities processing efficiency and service quality.
- Participate in department-led initiatives to enhance procedures, controls, and operational workflows.
- Support internal and external audit requirements through accurate documentation and compliance practices.
- Monitor adherence to industry regulations, policies, and operational standards.
- Contribute insights and recommendations that improve productivity, control effectiveness, and client outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting securities operations, financial services operations, or transaction processing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Knowledge of securities processing, reconciliation, settlement, and operational controls.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in a financial environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in high-volume transaction processing.
- Effective communication and client service skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency using financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of securities industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting audit reviews, risk controls, or governance activities.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and operational excellence practices.
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle activities and post-trade operations.
- Professional certification related to securities, finance, or operations.
