Your Roadmap
As a Scheduling Manager, you develop, maintain, and control the project schedule to ensure timely delivery of project milestones while supporting effective planning, resource allocation, risk management, and progress monitoring.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Develop, maintain, and control the integrated project schedule covering all project phases, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Collaborate closely with the Offshore Scheduling Manager to ensure alignment of planning methodologies, schedule updates, reporting standards, and overall project scheduling activities.
- Consolidate schedule inputs from all disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders into a single integrated project schedule.
- Define project activities, durations, logic relationships, milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables.
- Monitor and update project progress against the approved baseline schedule, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze schedule variances and delays, recommend corrective actions, and support the development of recovery plans when required.
- Prepare lookahead schedules and support short-, medium- and long-term planning activities.
- Coordinate schedule interfaces between offshore and onshore teams, ensuring alignment across all project phases and workstreams.
- Prepare and issue regular planning and progress reports, including milestone tracking, trend analysis, forecast completion dates, and performance indicators.
- Facilitate planning and schedule review meetings with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, site teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Support the Project Manager and project team by providing schedule analysis, forecasting, and decision-making recommendations.
- Support delay analysis, extension-of-time assessments, change management, and claim preparation when required.
Keys to Success
- Strong expertise in project scheduling and planning methodologies
- Proficiency in planning tools (Primavera, MS Project)
- Analytical mindset and critical path analysis capability
- Understanding of railway project lifecycle (ETCS, installation, commissioning) or large infrastructure projects
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret technical inputs and translate into planning
- Risk analysis and problem-solving
- 5-10+ years in project planning / scheduling
- Proven experience with complex, multi-stakeholder schedules
- Experience in international and multi-site project environments
