ResponsibilitiesAbout the Role
Keysight's Americas Sales Organization is growing, and we want our District Managers and Account Managers spending their time with customers. The Sales Process Specialist Supervisor leads a team of nine or more Sales Process Specialists and plays a central role in shaping what this team does. You will identify the administrative and operational tasks that pull the field away from selling, define which of those the team should own, and make sure every district and account manager across the US, Canada, and Latin America has the support they need.
This is a player/coach role. You will lead and develop the team while also rolling up your sleeves to do the work alongside them, especially as the scope of the function is being defined and built.
Key Responsibilities
Defining the Role of the Team
- Partner with District Managers and Account Managers to understand where administrative work is consuming selling time.
- Identify, prioritize, and define the key tasks the Sales Process Specialist team should own, and refine that scope as the organization's needs evolve.
- Design clear handoffs and engagement models between the field and the support team so everyone knows what support is available and how to access it.
- Track and report the impact of the team's work, including time returned to the field.
Ensuring Support Coverage
- Work with Senior Sales Directors to understand district priorities and make sure all districts are adequately supported.
- Monitor workload and support levels across districts, identifying gaps and rebalancing resources as needed.
- Establish service levels and feedback loops so support quality is measured and continuously improved.
- Serve as the escalation point for support needs and process issues from the field.
Team Leadership (Player/Coach)
- Lead, coach, and develop a remote team of 9+ Sales Process Specialists, setting clear expectations and performance goals.
- Actively perform support work alongside the team, particularly for complex, new, or high-priority tasks.
- Assign work across districts and time zones to deliver responsive, consistent support.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within a distributed team.
Process Definition and Efficiency
- Define, document, and standardize processes and procedures that improve efficiency across ASO.
- Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and inconsistencies across districts and drive resolution.
- Develop training materials, playbooks, and standard work so the team's support scales as ASO grows.
Tools and Systems Enablement
- Partner with IT and Sales Operations to equip the team with the tools, systems access, and automation needed to work efficiently.
- Represent the field's requirements in system enhancements and new tool rollouts.
- Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to reduce manual work.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales administration, sales operations, or sales support role.
- Experience leading or supervising a team, including working as a player/coach; remote team experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to assess a workflow, identify inefficiencies, and define practical processes that others adopt.
- Comfort working in a role where scope is still being shaped, with the judgment to prioritize what matters most to the field.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong communication and relationship skills, with the ability to work credibly with district and sales leadership.
- Ability to travel occasionally (up to [10–15]%) for team meetings, district visits, and sales events.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a technical or B2B sales organization, ideally in electronics, test and measurement, or high-tech.
- Process improvement training or certification (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar).
- Experience standing up or scaling a new support function.
- Experience supporting sales teams across multiple countries, including Canada and Latin America. Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year
- A defined, agreed-upon scope of tasks the team owns, built from direct input from district and account managers.
- Every district and account manager has a clear path to support, with coverage gaps identified and closed.
- Documented, standardized processes adopted across ASO districts.
- A high-performing team operating against defined service levels, with measurable time returned to the field.
