Description

The RMA Intern supports Tesla Energy product lines by managing RMA cases, technical customer inquiries, and spare parts logistics to ensure service commitments are met accurately and on time. Operating from the Melbourne office, this role suits a client-facing candidate with an electrical or engineering background who collaborates with Sales, Operations, Field Service, and Service Engineering teams.

You will thrive in both independent and team settings, proactively improving the owner experience for a growing customer base while handling daily tasks with strong customer service, technical acumen, and minimal oversight. Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and emails to provide high-level customer support
  • Evaluate customer needs and resolve technical battery system issues creatively
  • Educate installers and customers on energy storage system operation
  • Determine if issues can be fixed by phone or require service escalation
  • Manage RMA transactions, parts shipping, and returns for field technicians
  • Handle goods received, dispatch, and stock management at the Melbourne Service center
  • Optimize parts mix, track slow/fast movers, and maintain accurate inventory databases
  • Support Field and Service teams with parts ordering and demand planning
  • Record all issues and data accurately in the CRM system
  • Participate in project planning, reporting, continuous improvement, Kanban, and 5S activities

Requirements

  • Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics engineering background strongly preferred
  • Ability to work full-time (5 days per week) for at least a 6-month contract
  • Excellent written and oral English communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with CRM systems, MS Office Suite, and material transfer forms
  • Background in technical support, energy industry, logistics, or distribution preferred
  • Understanding of distributed generation or energy storage systems preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, handle shifting priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Reliable, quality-focused self-starter who maintains a safe working environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and assist/teach others on the team
  • Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail and build positive working relationships
