Keysight Technologies is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Application Engineer to support and expand our business across Vietnam's Aerospace & Defense, Telecommunications, Public Safety, Research, and Education markets.

In this role, you will work closely with government agencies, defense organizations, mobile network operators, universities, research institutes, and technology partners to deliver industry-leading test and measurement solutions. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers address complex challenges involving RF/Microwave systems, wireless communications, spectrum monitoring, signal intelligence, satellite communications, network emulation, and next-generation wireless technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in RF/Microwave engineering and wireless communications, combined with excellent customer engagement and problem-solving skills. This position requires frequent travel throughout Vietnam to support customers, demonstrations, training, and project deployments.

1. Customer Technical Support & Solution Consulting

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Keysight RF, microwave, wireless communications, and aerospace & defense solutions. Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate test and measurement solutions. Support customer evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, system acceptance testing, and deployments. Assist customers in solving complex measurements, validation, troubleshooting, and interoperability challenges.

2. Aerospace & Defense Applications

• Support defense and government customers in applications involving: Spectrum monitoring and analysis, Signal intelligence (SIGINT), Radar testing, Satellite communications (SATCOM), tactical communications systems
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical workshops for defense organizations and system integrators. Collaborate with regional subject matter experts to support strategic projects and opportunities.

3. Wireless Communications & Telco Applications

• Support mobile network operators, telecommunications vendors, and research organizations in: 4G LTE and 5G network validation, Open RAN and private network deployments, RF propagation and channel emulation, Device testing and wireless performance verification, Coverage, interference, and network optimization studies
• Perform demonstrations involving: Signal generators, Spectrum analyzers, Vector network analyzers, Oscilloscopes, RF channel emulators, Network emulation and digital twin solutions

4. Education & Research Institution Development

• Work with universities and research institutions to promote Keysight solutions for: RF and microwave engineering, Wireless communications research, Aerospace and satellite communications, Emerging 6G technologies, Digital twin and network simulation applications
• Conduct lectures, technical seminars, workshops, and hands-on laboratory training sessions.

5. Solution Deployment & Application Development

• Assist customers with: System installation and configuration, Measurement setup and optimization, Automation development, Data collection and analysis, Test workflow integration.
• Develop application examples, training materials, technical notes, and best-practice guides.
• Support software automation using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent tools.

6. Business Collaboration

• Partner with sales teams to identify and develop new opportunities. Participate in customer presentations, workshops, and technical marketing activities. Provide customer feedback and market insights to regional product management and R&D teams.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends in defense communications, satellite technologies, wireless networks, spectrum management, and emerging communication technologies.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in: Applications Engineering, RF Engineering, Wireless Communications Engineering, Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, Technical Consulting
• Experience supporting customer-facing technical engagements is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of one or more of the following areas: RF and Microwave Engineering
• Wireless Communications Systems, 4G LTE and 5G Technologies, Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Radar Systems, Spectrum Monitoring and Management
• Signal Analysis and Generation, Antenna Measurement and Characterization, Public Safety Communications Networks
• Experience with test and measurement instruments such as: Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Signal Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, RF Channel Emulators, Network Emulation Platforms, Software & Automation
• Experience with one or more of the following: Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++, Test automation frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying technical backgrounds.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Passion for learning emerging wireless and aerospace technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout Vietnam to support customer meetings, demonstrations, project deployments, training, and technical workshops.
• Occasional international travel may be required
