Tesla•Published 8 hours ago•First seen 8 hours ago

Description

Start date: January/February 2027
Duration: 6 months
Location: Amsterdam
Fulltime position (40hours a week)

NOTE: YOU MUST BE ENROLLED IN EDUCATION DURING THE ENTIRE INTERNSHIP TO BE CONSIDERED

This is a newly created internship within Tesla's Order-to-Cash (OTC) Accounting organization. It sits at the intersection of data, technology, and finance — offering hands-on exposure rather than a traditional accounting close role.

As Tesla's revenue operations scale, you’ll support the team that partners with accountants and controllers by helping maintain data infrastructure, contribute to automated processes, and drive efficiency improvements. This allows the core accounting team to focus on judgement and control.

You will assist in supporting the tools, pipelines, and processes that OTC Accounting depends on day to day, while learning how to improve them. You’ll collaborate with Finance, Engineering, and other teams under guidance to help reduce manual effort, contribute to automation, and enhance data quality.

Your contributions will help support how accurately and efficiently the books are closed. Tesla moves quickly and values proactive interns who identify opportunities and help improve processes as a core part of the experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining reporting dashboards for OTC Accounting
  • Support OTC Accounting’s transition to automated processes (e.g., testing, documentation, and basic enhancements)
  • Help with the review and monitoring of automated processes under supervision
  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of monthly automated SOX controls and balance sheet specifications, in line with Tesla policies and financial procedures
  • Support the ownership and maintenance of the OTC Data Hub (data updates, quality checks, basic queries)
  • Assist on projects that improve efficiency and help scale accounting processes
  • Work with other functions (under guidance) to help improve and automate processes that affect OTC Accounting. You will shadow and support senior team members on ad-hoc analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Learn and apply best practices in data handling, automation, and process documentation

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a study in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in or some exposure to working with datasets and automating simple processes (academic projects, coursework, or prior internships count)
  • Curiosity about automation tools and applying AI/tech to finance or business processes
  • Solid foundational analytical and modelling skills in Excel; familiarity with one or more of Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python (through coursework, personal projects, or prior experience) is preferred
  • A structured, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to tackle operational issues
  • Level C1 in English (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate clearly and present findings to the team
  • Willingness to learn quickly, take ownership of assigned tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented with a proactive attitude toward process improvement
