Description

This role sits at the heart of Meta's revenue accounting — spanning technical assessment, product launches, and operational execution. Your work will connect accounting decisions to real-world requirements across launches, financial close, reconciliations, and controls. This is a hands-on role. A significant part of your time will be spent testing new system rollouts and product changes — designing test scenarios, executing them, tracing transactions through systems end-to-end, and validating that outputs are correct before go-live. If you prefer to operate only at a conceptual level, this isn't the right fit. If you enjoy getting into the detail, working directly in systems, and personally verifying that things work — you'll thrive here. To do this well, you'll need solid revenue accounting expertise, the ability to partner effectively across functions, and a drive to build processes that hold up as the business scales. Meta's advertising revenue powers everything we do. This role ensures that the financial operations behind it remain accurate, scalable, and audit-ready as complexity grows.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple aspects of revenue accounting for both new and established business initiatives, including review of journals, reconciliations, and preparing flux analysis for key accounts Own and manage the credit card reconciliation process end-to-end — reconciling cash collected through payment service providers (PSPs) to revenue recorded, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring completeness of cash receipts Partner with product teams on the launch of new products, new PSP onboarding, localization initiatives, including timely accounting and risk assessments, designing effective controls to mitigate risks, and ensuring finance requirements are delivered to support successful launches Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams globally — including product, engineering, tax, legal, and risk — and partner with them to streamline global processes and systems Design and implement scalable accounting processes; run the month-end and quarter-end close cycle for your areas — journals, accruals, reconciliations, flux analysis, and control evidence Design and execute test plans for new product launches and system changes — building test cases, tracing transactions through end-to-end flows, validating data outputs, and confirming finance requirements are met before go-live Identify opportunities to use data, AI, and automation to improve efficiency across Finance workflows — with appropriate governance and review

Qualifications

Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with +5 Years PQE Solid knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and its application to technology or digital advertising revenue Hands-on experience with system testing — you're comfortable designing test scenarios, executing them yourself, tracing data through systems, and troubleshooting when outputs don't match expectations Experience analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and drawing actionable conclusions, including proficiency in Excel/G Suite and financial reporting systems A track record of building or scaling accounting processes, close procedures, reconciliations, and controls The ability to translate technical accounting positions into practical requirements that product and engineering teams can act on Clear written and verbal communication — especially when explaining complex matters to non-finance partners Experience with global product launches, multi-currency environments, intercompany structures, or localized billing models Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience contributing to or leading high-performing complex projects A history of close partnership with Product, Engineering, Data, or Finance systems teams Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience with credit card reconciliation, payment processing, or cash collection within a high-volume transaction environment Familiarity with AI or automation applied to Finance processes, with attention to validation and control standards Experience working with payment service providers (PSPs) and understanding of end-to-end payment flows
