Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. and China export control regulations, sanctions, and trade compliance requirements.
• Identify and assess compliance risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Review, analyze, and resolve potential matches identified through Restricted Party List (RPL) screening, including the resolution.
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on customers to assess compliance risks. Using internal and external sources to assess ownership structures, business activities, geographic presence, affiliations, ultimate parent companies, government or military connections, and involvement in sensitive technologies or industries.
• Document findings, risk assessments, and recommendations, including mitigation measures and escalation requirements, to support business decisions and maintain an auditable compliance record.
• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Care Center, Logistics, Legal, and other business functions to provide export compliance guidance and support.
• Assess transactions, customers, and end-use/end-user scenarios for compliance with applicable export control regulations.
• Review customer and government documents to ensure proper handling of sensitive export-controlled information.
• Support compliance reviews for China-related transactions, including licensing, end-use analysis, and risk assessments.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases and provide recommendations regarding customer, transaction approvals, licensing requirements,
• Develop and deliver export compliance training and awareness programs to employees and business stakeholders.
• Assist with compliance investigations, internal audits, and regulatory inquiries, and support the implementation of corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance decisions and demonstrate adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of export compliance policies, procedures, and screening processes.
• Collaborate with global compliance teams to ensure consistent application of export control requirements across regions and business units.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in export control compliance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export control regulations and China export control and trade compliance regulations.
• Experience conducting Enhanced Due Diligence and reviewing Restricted Party List screening alerts.
• Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business guidance.
• Strong communication, training, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a multinational environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
