Meta's Regulatory Readiness team ensures the company is prepared for the evolving global regulatory landscape. We monitor, prioritize, and drive action on regulatory developments that affect Meta's products and billions of users worldwide. Our regional teams combine regulatory intelligence and risk analysis with structured program management to ensure Meta anticipates and responds to regulatory change effectively. We are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead our combined Regulatory Readiness team across Asia-Pacific. You will build and manage a team that delivers regulatory risk intelligence, drives readiness programs, and coordinates cross-functional response to regulatory developments across one of the world's most dynamic and diverse regulatory environments. APAC spans jurisdictions with rapidly evolving approaches to platform regulation, data protection, AI governance, online safety, and digital competition. You will be responsible for ensuring Meta has a clear, timely understanding of this landscape and is consistently prepared to respond.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the APAC team — Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of program managers responsible for regulatory readiness across Asia-Pacific Own the APAC regulatory landscape — Build and maintain a comprehensive view of regulatory risks, pressures, and enforcement trends across the region. Produce actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations for senior leadership Coordinate cross-functional response — Collaborate to ensure Meta's product, engineering, and operations teams are prepared for regulatory change. Align stakeholders on regulatory priorities and drive coordinated action Advise on regulatory strategy — Translate complex regulatory environments into clear strategic implications. Help leadership understand trade-offs, prioritize responses, and make informed decisions Represent the region globally — Ensure APAC perspectives are reflected in global regulatory readiness processes, frameworks, and leadership discussions

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, public policy, compliance, risk management, or related fields 3+ years in a people management role, with experience building and developing teams Deep knowledge of the APAC regulatory environment, with expertise in multiple key jurisdictions (e.g., India, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Southeast Asia) Experience managing cross-functional programs involving legal, policy, product, and engineering stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Background in regulatory intelligence, horizon scanning, or policy risk management Experience in the technology or internet platforms sector, particularly around content regulation, privacy, AI governance, online safety, or digital competition Experience working in global, matrixed organizations across time zones and cultures Ability to synthesize complex regulatory landscapes into actionable strategic insights for executive audiences Advanced degree in law, public policy, international relations, political science, or a related field Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Proficiency in an APAC language in addition to English, as the role involves direct engagement with regional regulators and stakeholders across Asia-Pacific jurisdictions Experience leading teams that combine analytical/research functions with program delivery
