Region HR Business Partner – EMEA S&M

The Region HR Business Partner for EMEA S&M supports business leaders in translating business priorities and global HR strategy into practical people actions. The role focuses on organization effectiveness, talent, capability building, engagement, performance, retention and employee well-being, working through local HR partners, CoEs and the extended HR team to ensure effective execution. The role reports to the region S&M Business HR Head.

Role purpose:

  • Support the strategic direction of the business by cascading HR activities in line with the overall global HR strategy and business strategy.
  • Steer people and organizational projects for the assigned business scope, advising and supporting management on people matters such as engagement, performance and well-being.
  • Identify critical skill gaps and support deployment of targeted learning and development solutions and resources to enhance the skillset of commercial teams, in collaboration with CoEs, subject-matter experts and business stakeholders.  
  • Engage local HR partners and the extended HR team to ensure local and regional execution of centrally defined strategies, while keeping solutions relevant to business needs.
  • Ensure the presence of the right talent in the right place by supporting workforce discussions, talent reviews, succession follow-up, capability building and development opportunities that support retention.
  • Provide input on business needs and people indicators derived from business priorities, using organizational diagnosis and metrics to identify efficiency opportunities, people risks and practical actions.
  • Cooperate with local and regional Compensation & Reward CoEs by providing business input to support appropriate reward strategies and decisions.
  • Ensure HR processes are executed in line with HR standards, global principles and agreed ways of working.

Profile and experience:

  • Around 10 years of HR experience, preferably in an international, matrixed and technology-driven environment.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner, with the ability to translate business priorities into practical people actions.
  • Strong experience working with senior leaders and key stakeholders, securing buy-in and coaching leaders on complex people, organization and leadership topics.
  • Experience implementing and improving HR processes, ensuring practical execution and alignment with HR standards.
  • Experience working on capability-building programs for commercial teams, in partnership with business leaders and CoEs.
  • Strong ability to use people data, organizational diagnosis and market insights to support decisions, prioritize actions and improve business execution.
  • Comfortable using digital and AI-enabled tools to prepare insights, support capability building and improve HR execution with the business.
