Overview

Susquehanna is looking for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join our Hong Kong office. As the first point of contact for guests, candidates and colleagues visiting from our global offices, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. This is a junior opportunity suited to someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent service. 

What you will be doing:

Guest and visitor management

  • Welcome guests, candidates and visiting colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Notify relevant employees of visitor arrivals and help ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Offer and arrange refreshments for visitors.
  • Provide reception support at company events and offsite functions when required.

Meeting room management

  • Ensure meeting rooms are clean, organised and ready for use.
  • Reset rooms promptly following meetings.
  • Monitor meeting room presentation and raise any maintenance or equipment issues.

Office presentation

  • Maintain a clean, tidy and professional reception and visitor waiting area.
  • Help ensure shared office areas consistently meet a high standard of presentation.
  • Proactively identify and address issues affecting the guest or employee experience.

Mail, courier and office support

  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and correspondence.
  • Coordinate local and international courier and postal services.
  • Maintain postage, mailing and courier supplies.
  • Receive and distribute office supplies and printer paper.
  • Assist with general office services and administrative tasks as required.

Events and additional support

  • Support company events, employee drinks and other office activities.
  • Provide reception coverage at offsite events when required.
  • Assist the wider Office Services team with ad hoc tasks and changing priorities.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in reception, aviation, hospitality, customer service or another client-facing environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in an international or professional office environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong spoken and written English is essential. Cantonese and/or Mandarin would be advantageous.
  • A genuine customer-service mindset and a warm, professional manner.
  • Proactive, willing and flexible, with the confidence to take initiative.
  • Reliable and organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing several requests and adjusting priorities throughout the day.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the broader office team.
  • Discretion and professionalism when interacting with visitors, candidates and employees.
  • Confidence using standard Microsoft Office applications and learning new systems.
