R&D Strategy Manager - Panelboard/Switchboard

Siemens Grand Prairie Manufacturing facility is looking for an R&D Strategy Manager for their Panel board Switchboard Product Development team.
You will make an impact by:
- Lead Innovation and new product development for electrical equipment (Panelboards and Switchboards).
- Manage a team of 5-9 engineers. Provide technical support and have overall responsibility for the success of the projects and performance of engineers.
- Ensure the team follows appropriate design practices, follows necessary PLM process steps, and meets industry and regulatory requirements.
- Support employee growth through coaching, career development, and succession planning.
- Manage and plan projects including scope of work, schedule, and costs.
- Manage project tasks, coordinate tasks, monitor progress, and set deadlines.
- Manage budget planning, cost center expenses, resource planning and CAPEX investments.
- Effectively establish, communicate, and manage expectations across departments, project teams, and leadership to ensure alignment.
- Evaluate and recommend process changes and team improvements.
- Support internal and external customers with product and technical expertise as needed.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, combined with10+ years of engineering, product development, or R&D experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and concept testing.
- Detail oriented, analytical thinker combined with strong organizational skills.
- Travel required will be less than 25%.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration.
- 3+ years of technical leadership or people management experience.
- Panelboard or Switchboard design experience
- Prior experience with codes and standards organizations including UL, CSA, NOM, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and others.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and stage-gate development processes.
- Experience in electrical power distribution, industrial automation, or related industries.
- Proficient with MS-Office applications.
- Team oriented personality who can support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to motivate and engage others to deliver results.
- Anticipate problems before they arise.
- Handle ambiguity and trade-offs.

The pay range for this position is $151,511 - $259,733 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
