We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented R&D Manager to lead the EDA R&D team in Singapore. The successful candidate will manage a multidisciplinary team of software, RF, and high-speed digital design engineers responsible for advancing Keysight's EDA platforms and applications. This leader will drive innovation, develop talent, foster a high-performance culture, continuously improve engineering processes, and collaborate closely with global R&D and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class simulation software using Agile development practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of EDA professionals in Singapore.
  • Drive the architecture, development, and delivery of high-quality EDA and simulation software products.
  • Build a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, technical excellence, customer success, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent while creating career growth opportunities for team members.
  • Establish clear priorities, goals, and execution plans to ensure successful delivery of product roadmaps and business objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with global R&D organizations and cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing, QA, and Customer Support.
  • Champion Agile development methodologies and continuously improve software development processes, tools, and engineering best practices.
  • Foster strong teamwork and communication across geographically distributed teams.
  • Leverage AI technologies and modern software engineering practices to improve productivity, quality, and innovation.
Qualifications

Required qualification:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of software development experience, including technical leadership and people management responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality enterprise software products that provide significant customer value.
  • Strong understanding of software NPI processes, Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and engineering project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and talent development.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across multiple organizations and geographies.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on software development experience and the ability to contribute technically when needed.
  • Passion for adopting AI-assisted engineering practices to improve development efficiency and product quality.

Desired qualification

  • Deep understanding of EDA, simulation, and electronic design technologies.
  • Experience in RF/Microwave and/or High-Speed Digital design and simulation domains.
  • Prior experience leading globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational growth, process transformation, and engineering excellence.
  • Experience working across diverse international cultures and geographies.
