Summary of Role
The successful candidate will serve as a key technical contributor within a specialized engineering discipline, driving innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. This role requires deep technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to influence technology development, process improvements, and project execution across cross-functional teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Apply advanced technical expertise to solve complex, novel, and non-recurring engineering problems.
- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and technical solutions.
- Contribute as a recognized technical expert within a specialized discipline and provide guidance on critical engineering decisions.
- Execute and support projects ranging from focused technical initiatives to key workstreams within larger programs.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional project teams to achieve technical and business objectives.
- Mentor, train, and guide team members on technical skills, tools, and best practices.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to intellectual property development, including invention disclosures and patent submissions.
- Support the generation of technical publications, conference presentations, and journal papers.
Other Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive developments.
- Interface with suppliers and external partners to evaluate technologies, tools, and equipment through demonstrations, pilot projects, and collaborative activities.
- Represent the organization in technical reviews, industry consortia, and professional conferences.
- Support strategic technology roadmaps and long-term capability development initiatives.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities and foster technical excellence within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4-5 years of relevant industry experience with a BS degree; OR
- 2-4 years of relevant industry experience with an MS degree; OR
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience with a PhD.
- Demonstrated expertise within a specialized technical discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Experience working in project teams and collaborating across functions.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated record of technical innovation resulting in process, methodology, or technology improvements.
- Patent authorship, invention disclosures, or other contributions to intellectual property development.
- Technical publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at industry conferences.
- Experience collaborating with suppliers, research organizations, or industry consortia.
- Ability to independently lead technical initiatives and influence project direction.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and developing technical talent.
- Knowledge of semiconductor technology development, manufacturing, design enablement, or related engineering domains.
Expected Salary Range
$85,000.00 - $146,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
