Siemens Industry is looking for a Quality Manager for our Grand Prairie, TX factory! Our growing facility will have more than 1,300 employees that produce high-quality, Engineered-to-order power distribution equipment.
The Quality Manager is accountable for the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department. This position ensures the successful delivery of business strategy and operational goals to exceed company and customer expectations for product and engineering quality, cost, delivery and customer service, while facilitating continuous improvement and achieving commercial success. This position is also responsible for the site Training and Product Testing Departments. The position reports to the Plant Manager of the location with an indirect reporting line to the Director of Central Quality North America. The Quality Manager will lead the quality team of around 8 direct reports with a mix of over 100 salary and hourly personnel overall and ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the department.
You will make an impact by:
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to improve operational performance
- Lead and develop a team of 8 direct reports while providing strategic quality leadership and operational oversight for a workforce of more than 100 employees in the QM department.
- Develop and continuously improve training methodologies, systems and personnel
- Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
- Ensure that all in-house systems and procedures are updated, revised, and modified to meet the needs of external certification bodies
- Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, corrective actions, root cause analyses, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
- Act as the point of contact for warranty issues and claims as advised by Technical Customer Service
- Manage the Quality Engineers and Technicians in the sign-off of parts and the resolution of internal/external quality concerns
- Report on agreed quality metrics monthly
- In conjunction with the Supplier Quality Assurance function, reduce the effect of non-conforming supplier materials on the production area quality
- Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Liaison with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar
- 8+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing leadership positions
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, APQP, Core Tools, Negotiation, 8Ds, DMAIC, Lean concepts, PPAP, FMEA
- Data analysis and statistical aptitude and problem solving and multi- tasking skills.
- Intermediate MS Office skill level
- Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Electrical Distribution business or similar manufacturing industries
- Master’s Degree
- ASQ CQE/CQM Certification
- Power BI, Tableau
- Electrical Engineering

The pay range for this position is $135,303 - $231,948 annually with a target incentive of 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
