Quality Engineer-II, Alexa Devices - Product QA
We are seeking a talented QA Engineer to own the quality of new Alexa devices. In this role, you will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to own the end-to-end product quality of new Alexa devices, from product inception until it reaches the customer's hands. You will design and build AI-based automation tools and frameworks to support new device feature and non-functional testing.
Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end release quality for assigned new and experimental Alexa devices, from branch cut through WOTA release.
Drive daily BAT execution and weekly regression cycles; analyze results and ensure timely failure resolution.
Triage bugs by severity, track fix versions, and coordinate with development teams to prevent release blockers.
Monitor crash rates and adoption metrics during OTA ramps; escalate anomalies to stakeholders.
Coordinate release sign-off activities, including wiki creation, component POC follow-ups, and GM readiness validation.
Execute weekly beta publishes and validate customer-reported bugs for assigned devices.
Collaborate with feature teams, TPMs, and cross-location PQA teams to drive seamless release execution.
Design and maintain AI-based automation tools and frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
About the team
We are a high-performing team of engineers — including SDEs, SDETs, and QAEs — who build and maintain automation frameworks, AI-based testing tools, and lab infrastructure serving the Alexa Product QA needs.
As Alexa's device portfolio expands with new and experimental form factors in 2027, we are extending our charter into Product Quality Assurance (PQA) ownership — taking end-to-end accountability for release quality from branch cut through customer delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is scaling its impact, operating across time zones to provide round-the-clock quality coverage, and shaping how Alexa's next-generation devices reach customers.
