Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Lead Quality Assurance Operations
- Lead the overall quality assurance activities between Japanese mobile carriers and Motorola's Business Unit (BU) and Global Quality teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of quality issues throughout the product lifecycle, from development to post-launch support.
Customer & Carrier Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for Japanese carriers regarding product quality and field issues.
- Build strong relationships with carrier quality teams and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue management.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate with global Quality, R&D, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Customer Support teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to ensure quality targets, carrier requirements, and launch milestones are achieved.
Quality Improvement & Governance
- Monitor quality KPIs, analyze field failure trends, and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Project & Escalation Management
- Manage critical quality escalations and provide timely updates to senior management.
- Lead quality reviews for new product introductions (NPI), software releases, and major customer projects.
People Management
- Lead Japan Quality Assurance team.
- Set team objectives, manage performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
