QA Engineer

Reporting to: IT QA Manager

Location: Chennai, India (Flexible)

Role Overview:
The QA Engineer strengthens the quality and reliability of the organization's Lead-to-Cash ecosystem by validating Salesforce and Zuora solutions across critical business workflows. The role focuses on functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing across opportunities, product and pricing configuration, quoting, order and asset management, Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM), billing, and revenue integrations.

As part of the Enterprise Applications team, you will own test execution across Salesforce, Zuora, and connected enterprise applications. You will partner with Salesforce Developers, Technical Leads, Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, and QA engineers to translate business requirements into effective test scenarios, validate APIs and integrations, identify defects early, and provide clear quality insights that support release decisions.

You will bring strong functional and integration testing capabilities, hands-on API testing experience, and working knowledge of test automation. Basic hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript scripting will help expand automation coverage, while AI-assisted testing will support test case generation, analysis, automation maintenance, and risk-based testing. This role provides opportunities to deepen your expertise across Salesforce, Zuora, RLM, API and integration testing, automation, and AI-assisted quality engineering while improving platform reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce and Zuora Lead-to-Cash workflows, ensuring reliable business processes from opportunities and quoting through orders, assets, billing, and revenue
  • Design and execute comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for Salesforce functionality covering opportunities, product and pricing configuration, quoting, order management, assets, amendments, and renewals
  • Validate Salesforce Revenue Lifecycle Management functionality across product catalog, pricing, quoting, order management, and asset management processes to support accurate Lead-to-Cash execution
  • Perform end-to-end integration testing across Salesforce, Zuora, Workday, ServiceNow, and connected enterprise applications to validate business logic, data integrity, data synchronization, field mappings, error handling, and downstream processing
  • Execute API testing using tools such as Postman and REST/SOAP services, validating requests, responses, authentication, data mappings, integration behavior, and exception scenarios
  • Validate Salesforce configurations, including Flows, validation rules, permission sets, custom objects, and Lightning Web Components (LWC), to ensure functional accuracy and expected user experiences
  • Develop and maintain Playwright automated tests for appropriate regression and end-to-end scenarios, using TypeScript scripting to progressively increase automation coverage
  • Apply AI-assisted testing capabilities to accelerate test case generation, improve test analysis, support automation maintenance, identify testing gaps, and prioritize testing based on application changes and risk
  • Translate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories into comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, test data, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product Owners and Business Systems Analysts
  • Drive defects toward resolution through clear documentation, root-cause investigation, severity and priority assessment, reproducible evidence, retesting, and effective collaboration with development teams
  • Execute regression and release validation to identify functional and integration risks before production deployment and provide stakeholders with clear visibility into release readiness
  • Communicate test execution status, defects, quality risks, and release readiness to Technical Leads, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to support informed delivery decisions
  • Contribute to QA standards, reusable test assets, peer reviews, and knowledge sharing while identifying opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and overall product quality

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong experience in functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing
  • Hands-on experience testing Salesforce and/or Zuora applications within integrated enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of functional testing techniques, test scenario and test case development, defect management, regression testing, and release validation
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, including REST and SOAP service validation
  • Experience validating integrations across enterprise SaaS applications, including data flows, field mappings, business rules, error handling, and downstream processing
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce functionality and configurations, including Flows, validation rules, permission sets, custom objects, and Lightning Web Components
  • Basic hands-on experience with Playwright for UI or end-to-end test automation, including creating, executing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automated test scripts
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript scripting for test automation, API validation, test utilities, or workflow automation
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools or techniques for test generation, test analysis, automation maintenance, intelligent test prioritization, or related quality engineering use cases
  • Experience with test management tools such as Testmo, defect tracking platforms such as Jira, version control platforms such as GitHub, and exposure to CI/CD environments such as Jenkins
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a structured approach to investigating functional defects, integration failures, data discrepancies, and unexpected application behavior
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for QA deliverables across test planning, execution, defect management, regression testing, and release validation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Developers, Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, Technical Leads, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document test evidence and communicate defects, risks, and quality status clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce Lead-to-Cash processes, Zuora, Revenue Lifecycle Management, product and pricing configuration, order management, asset management, billing, or revenue integrations
  • Salesforce certification, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, or comparable hands-on Salesforce platform knowledge
  • Experience testing integrations between Salesforce, Zuora, and downstream enterprise applications such as Workday or ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with large language model APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar technologies, and their use within testing or workflow automation
  • Exposure to AI-assisted quality engineering capabilities such as test case generation, test analysis, automation maintenance, visual regression analysis, or risk-based test prioritization
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Jira for sprint planning, backlog refinement, test coordination, and defect management
