A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Proposal Engineering Professional for Mechanical Balance of Plant,

• Begin your day partnering closely with the Sales team - translating customer tender specifications into feasible, optimized technical solutions for Industrial Steam Turbine projects across domestic and export markets
• Prepare compelling technical offers, size and cost the Mechanical auxiliaries and shape the winning strategy for each bid
• Coordinate with stakeholders - sales, procurement, engineering, project management, site & quality management and the global network - to gather cost inputs for the proposed scope and services
• Contribute to profitability and competitiveness by challenging requirements and related costs and offering cognitive inputs for the sales pitch
• Interface directly with customers and consultants to bring proposals to technical closure
• Own the Mechanical BoP scope of each proposal end-to-end
• Satisfaction of handing a won project over to execution

How You'll Make an Impact

• Drive winning proposals by preparing complete technical offers - detailed scope charts, P&IDs, TG building Layout, Piping routing layout, performance guarantee datasheets - along with deviations and clarifications to the customer's tender specification
• Engineer optimum, cost-competitive solutions through sizing, selection and cost estimation of Mechanical auxiliaries, piping and related systems, including extended-scope items
• Selection & configuration of Mechanical BoP systems
• Provide technical clarifications and options to customers and consultants
• Source and evaluate sub-suppliers' techno-commercial offers for Mechanical BoP scope
• Assess technical risks and prepare mitigation plans with support from cross-functional teams
• Enable a smooth handover by preparing the Technical LoA, supporting the project handover process and leading internal kick-off meetings to transfer won projects to the execution team
• Stay engaged post handover - supporting engineering, project management and procurement with clarifications during the execution stage
• Ensure solutions comply with applicable ASME/API/CE and customer standards

What You Bring

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, with 2 - 8 years of experience in power projects
• Strong technical foundation in P&IDs, Layout Engineering, Mechanical BoP system & Piping - of Steam Turbines Power plant
• Hands-on know-how of Lube Oil System, Condensate Extraction Pump, Ejector, Gland Steam Condenser, Heat Exchanger, Gear Box, Coupling, Valves, Boiler Feedwater Pump, Noise Hood and other mechanical auxiliaries
• Confidence to engage local and global customers and technical consultants directly, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability under pressure, comfortably managing frequently changing priorities and tight timelines
• Preferred: prior experience in Proposal Engineering / Detail Engineering / Operations / Field Service / BoP Procurement for Mechanical items of steam turbine power plants; experience handling API projects
