Jack Henry is currently seeking a Proposal & Contract Specialist II for the Sales Operation’s Banking Proposal and Contract team. Working directly with a Regional Proposal & Contract team and as part of the overall banking sales team, the Proposal & Contract Specialist II develops the pricing and configuration documents to be presented to clients and prospects. While this role requires the ability to work independently, success depends on active collaboration, open communication, and a willingness to engage with team members to solve problems and drive results. Additionally, you must possess the ability to multi-task with minimum supervision.

This is a hybrid position that requires you to come to the office approximately once a week and one Wednesday per month for onsite meetings, events, and training. The remainder of the time you may work remotely from home. Candidate must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville, KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.

What you'll be responsible for: 

  • Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compliant, and customer-focused proposals and agreements.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other business partners to support successful deal execution.
  • Apply pricing, product configuration, contracting, and clause library expertise throughout the sales cycle.
  • Expertly navigate Salesforce, Conga/QTC, and Microsoft Office tools to create professional proposals and contract documents.
  • Manage multiple active opportunities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Research and resolve inquiries related to pricing, products, contracts, and customer agreements.
  • Process signed agreements and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Develop expertise in company products, services, pricing models, and business processes to support both new and existing business opportunities.
  • Works in the grey areas by exercising sound judgment and applying a strong understanding of JHA's business principles.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer and sales experience.
  • Provide backup support across team functions as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Finance, or experience with banking contracts. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JH meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have: 

  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to understand basic legal documents and how they affect current and future proposals and contracts.
  • Strong business acumen and desire to strengthen knowledge of the business/industry.
  • Salesforce and Conga/QTC experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation, organizational, detail oriented, technical, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of banking products and services.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work well under pressure, work effectively with associates at all levels.
  • Proficient in MS Applications – specifically Excel.
