Role and Responsibilities

Position Overview

This role is the key Sourcing project contact for the Packaging Center and oversees all aspects of sourcing and project management of mobile device launches and localization. Under limited supervision, this position will drive key milestones with key internal and external stakeholders.  This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure maximum cost saving and effectiveness. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Build and manage project deliverables and schedule for wireless handset and ACCY product packaging for launch and localization   
    • Responsible for promptly delegating tasks and coordinating due dates to maintain project deadlines supporting the FAI target schedule   
    • Ensures all interested parties and supporting departments, including executive-level personnel, are kept abreast of launch/localization schedule information, issues, assigned carrier customer requirements, and customer or legal driven changes that impact scheduling, quality or cost
    • Create and process RFQs for vendor selection·      
  • Create and manage packaging BOM in SAP·      
  • Participate and coordinate weekly meetings with all stakeholders to manage tasks to project timelines
  • Responsible for promptly delegating tasks and coordinating due dates to maintain project deadlines supporting the FAI target schedule
  • Confirm specification on quotes and analyze pricing to make recommendations for vendor selection
  • Manage Engineering Changes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Gather packaging specifications to provide direction for documentation
  • Verify samples against specification and approvals from Marketing, and PM/Carriers. Work with HQ R&D and HQ Design on packaging specs, data requests, and VOC.  Support Pkg Engineers by communicating testing standard changes and inquires with the HQ Reliability team
  • Communicate with customers, Marketing, and PMs to understand customer requirements and marketing objectives
  • Provide possible solutions and impacts to cost, quality, service, and time. Act as the liaison between internal clients and the supplier

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of directly related experience
  • Prior experience in sourcing, quality and/project management
  • Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Fluent in English and Korean
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with AI tools (prompting, automation)
