The Project/Product Engineer NPI will be responsible for product and component design and development, leading PLM and cost reduction projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements through established documentation and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and implement cost reduction projects
  • Manage high impact projects based on PLM process
  • Design of components and mechanisms for circuit breakers
  • Material specifications and surface finish designation to components
  • Design and prototype product components and systems
  • Evaluate product performance and implement improvements for circuit breakers
  • Continuous Improvement and robustness
  • Product documentation
  • Project Execution, creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Fulfill technical requirements and documentation as needed, for the projects
  • Project Planning
  • Project Monitoring and Control

What will you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, master desirable
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions
  • Knowledge of new innovation methodologies (Global Innovation Management Methodology, Design thinking, TRIZ)
  • Project Management Certification (desired)
  • Siemens PLM Process knowledge
  • Advanced English
  • Tableau & Knime is a plus
  • Knowledge of:
    • Mechanical design and 3D modelling
    • Test results interpretation
    • Prototyping design and analysis
    • MS Project
    • Project Management techniques (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
    • Six Sigma tool or Core Tools
    • Risk Analysis (quantitative and qualitative)
    • PPAP Process
    • GD&T
    • Project cost and budget estimation
