In Egypt, Siemens Mobility is implementing the European safety standards “European Train Control System (ETCS) Level 1”. Spanning 950 km, this project is part of the broader Egypt National Railways  Projects and aims to enhance the safety standards, increase the number of passenger trains, and boost freight capacity.

Today, we are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and delays.
  • Support project managers in achieving project objectives and milestones.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Review engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Facilitate design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Manage engineering and changing requests and document control processes.
  • Coordinate communication between the Employer, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Support customer presentations and technical discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality management procedures and project standards.
  • Support the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Participate in inspections, audits, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track project budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization.
  • Prepare project reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Support procurement and vendor management activities.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanical or electrical.
  • Experience in Project engineering or project management within engineering, construction, energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, or railway projects.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previse experience in Project coordination, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Advantageous experience in infrastructure or railway projects.
