The impact you’ll make

As the Capability Development & Workforce Readiness Program Manager, you will create the capability architecture that enables GP&O employees to develop skills, accelerate readiness, and perform effectively in their roles.

You will partner with functional leaders, SMEs, Role Communities, and organizational-development partners to define learning pathways, onboarding frameworks, proficiency models, and capability-development strategies that support GP&O's long-term growth and workforce readiness objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Capability Architecture
    • Design role-based learning pathways and workforce-development frameworks.
    • Develop proficiency models, competency structures, and role-readiness standards.
    • Create scalable onboarding and assimilation programs.
    Workforce Readiness
    • Translate business capability gaps into structured development solutions.
    • Partner with SMEs to define requirements and learning objectives.
    Certification & Assessment
    • Develop certification frameworks, measurement approaches, and evidence standards.
    • Support capability maturity assessments and readiness planning.
    Global Collaboration
    • Partner with the Malaysia and Tualatin roles to connect capability design with adoption and delivery.
    • Work closely with organizational-development partners supporting Learn from an Expert and new-hire assimilation initiatives.

Who we’re looking for

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, capability development, learning strategy, workforce readiness, organizational development, or operations.
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems into scalable solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements-gathering capabilities.
  • Experience developing frameworks, standards, methodologies, or capability models.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience in global organizations and cross-functional environments preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Semiconductor industry or global supplier experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
