Program Manager, Energy External Affairs

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Influence the external energy ecosystem to enable Google to secure energy capacity and deliver sustainable growth.
- Regionalize Google's global energy external affairs strategy in priority markets to address critical regional energy priorities.
- Shape and advance the company's external narratives on key issues, including energy affordability, grid reliability, and carbon-free energy.
- Develop robust stakeholder engagement strategies, raise awareness of Google's approach and drive major external activations such as industry announcements.
- Act as a collaborative leader, working with a broad set of cross-functional teams and external partners to bring complex projects from concept to completion.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience in program management and strategy development within an organization.
- Experience working in the energy industry, navigating external affairs, messaging strategy, and event strategy.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects from concept to completion.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Deep familiarity with and practical experience working energy issues, including regional policy, markets, and technology.
- proven ability to translate complex energy topics for non-technical audiences and executive leadership.
- Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to build strong relationships and lead successful programs across large, matrixed organizations.
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills with the ability to confidently execute and grow in environments characterized by ambiguity and uncertainty.
