We are building a governance, risk, and compliance function to enable our company to build products that can withstand regulatory scrutiny, and ensure Meta continues to meet global regulatory requirements and manage risk. Meta's Regulatory Compliance Programs is the central engine driving risk management and compliance at the company, supporting Meta and the family of apps. We’re seeking experienced GRC and Trust & Safety talent to help enable and safeguard Meta’s products and services, which have a truly global scale, by upholding existing Content Regulation requirements and meeting emergent compliance obligations. Regulatory Compliance is responsible for, (a) enabling the business to achieve its goals at scale and pace; (b) safeguarding the business against real world security risks; and (c) addressing the regulatory scrutiny the business faces. Our goal is to make Meta the premier place to work for governance, risk, compliance, and Integrity professionals. We are seeking a motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented candidate with knowledge of risk management, compliance, Security and/or Integrity. You should have robust communication skills and proven success building and maintaining relationships across a wide range of global stakeholders. You will drive cross-functional engagement, and communicate the overall strategy for initiatives within the program to key stakeholders. You should be experienced working in high-pressure situations, pivot quickly and effectively when necessary, and have an understanding of integrity subject matter expertise. In this role, you will need to work well in high-pressure situations, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be able to pivot quickly and effectively when necessary. The ideal candidate is an experienced trust & safety or security professional who can translate work across compliance and Product teams seamlessly and act as the connection point between Compliance, Product, Legal, Regulatory Offices, and the business, maintaining deep Integrity subject matter expertise.

Responsibilities

Coach and empower cross-functional partners to assess business risk, apply assurance methodologies, and take accountability for control ownership within their respective domains Primary driver of major risk and compliance priorities including strategic enhancements, evidencing compliance & identifying long-term investments Build consensus & buy in across Product, Engineering and Legal functions Delivers highly complex & ambiguous portfolio, delivering clarity, structure & effective outcomes Scales compliance effectiveness using AI to deliver monitoring, oversight, artifacts & org-wide continuous improvement Maintain an in-depth understanding of the broad regulatory landscape impacting Meta across Integrity, Youth, Privacy & Security, with the ability to design compliance strategy/priorities Maintain deep knowledge of Meta’s products, policies, and capabilities, to design functions to identify stakeholders and build and maintain strong relationships across a wide array of global xfn partners Communicate complex and technical conceptions effectively (right altitude & medium) per the audience (Eng, Product, Legal) to enable cross-functional alignment & decisions Identification of gaps/risks in strategy, product or positions, and designing mitigations to unblock Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven success influencing a variety of audiences including senior leadership across both technical and non-technical teams Mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills and expertise Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and improvement in Regulatory Compliance Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organization, influencing their decisions and driving alignment around integrity risk management priorities Support business travel on an as needed basis (up to 20%)

Qualifications

Experience building governance structures, escalation processes, and reporting mechanisms that drive accountability and transparency across distributed teams 10+ years of experience in trust & safety, Integrity, content policy, transparency reporting, OR governance, compliance, and risk management 5+ years product or program management experience Experience developing and delivering AI-native strategies Experience working with Integrity, Trust & Safety, Security, or Risk & Compliance frameworks and practices Advanced degree and/or relevant professional certification Knowledge of global content regulations, content moderation, and Trust & Safety best practices 3+ years of experience working in regulated industries, information security, and/or cybersecurity Experience working in technology and using AI tools to improve workflows, strengthen controls, or enable compliance Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements) Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews) Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Compensation: $178,000/year to $252,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
