Responsibilities

• Manage/address factory quality issue escalation, issues failure analysis (FA), root cause and corrective action (RCCA) from FAI (First Article Inspection)/OQC (outgoing quality control)/ORT (on-going reliability), yield fallouts, customer complaints and field failures, during NPI/MP (mass production) phases.
• Coordinate with on-site operation team members and suppliers to resolve emergency issues locally in a timely manner.
• Define/implement phone product cosmetic specifications and design FATP quality cosmetic station inspection plan ensuring the specifications meet, and participate in design for quality (DFQ) review with design/manufacturing partners, including mechanical/module supplier development engineering (SDE).
• Identify production line factors critical to quality and establish production quality control procedures.
• Drive DOE (design of experiment), collect SPC (statistical process control) data to enable evaluation/qualification/verification of cost effectiveness meeting overall manufacturing quality goals with cross-functional team.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product quality development or manufacturing engineering for mobile or consumer electronics products.
• 5 years of experience as a product quality engineer, or a similar role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience overseeing yield improvements and cycle time reductions for high volume and high complexity parts.
  
• Experience in consumer hardware development and manufacturing processes, vendor relations and working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs).
• Knowledge of statistical quality control such as six sigma, familia with statistical analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, R language.
• Ability to read and draw mechanical and PCBA schematics.
