The Product Operations Manager (POM) for hardware and software, as part of the Offerings Portfolio Strategy and Performance Team in Lexmark, focuses on product development, product launch activities, and analysis of competitive landscape focusing on printer hardware and software features, prices and channels.

The POM is responsible for the following major activities within the Offering Portfolio Strategy and Performance Team:

  • Portfolio Management and Strategy
  • Product Operations
  • Project Management
  • Continuous Process Improvement

The Product Operations Manager is integral to the business decision-making process and to the determination of the development of future products.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Portfolio Management and Strategy:

  • Identifies and recommends growth and opportunity areas for the assigned product segments
  • Provides competitive insights for effective product positioning, strategy, and value proposition of Lexmark devices.
  • Monitors and analyses Lexmark supplies portfolio pricing and cost per page (CPP) vs competitors to support Lexmark’s product positioning strategy
  • Manages country/geo readiness artifacts

Strategy Development:

  • Develops and proposes business strategies and value propositions of Lexmark devices and software business
  • Manages CSTL (country shipped-to list) activity for new products

Product Operations:

  • - researches and analyzes printing industry and competitive information which include product features, pricing and path to market strategy and activities
  • - develops and executes product launch plans and timelines as outlined in the Product Launch checklist document
  • - develops price/positioning models of Lexmark devices vis-à-vis our competitors to the Product Portfolio Managers
  • - manages product model setup and updates in Enovia

Project Management/Cross-functional coordination:

  • Aligns with product planners, pricing ops, R&D, marketing, and geo finance teams on various activities/projects
  • Leads and manages specific competitive studies and product launch presentations/files for CFT meetings/product launch discussions
  • Leads and manages ad hoc requests, on a case to case basis

Continuous Process Improvement:

  • Drives standardization and simplification of existing processes
  • Improves research processes and reports visualization using emerging tools and technologies

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, or Business Development (experience in the printing or imaging industry is an advantage)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Working knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Skilled in data analysis, information organization, and insight generation from complex datasets
  • Excellent command of business English, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive web research and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Flexibility to work across time zones or shifts as required by global operations
