Product Manager II - Payments
About the role and team
Product at Uber means making big decisions without perfect information—and owning the outcomes. As a Product Manager II, you will turn complexity into clarity at speed, navigate competing priorities, and lead through influence, not control. This role is about solving what is hard to shape the future of movement.
You will navigate the messy reality of marketplace mechanics where the path forward is rarely predefined. We need leaders who move with urgency and stay resilient when faced with high-stakes ambiguity. If you think critically and want to solve real-world problems under real-world constraints, this is where you will grow.
What you’ll do
- Build a bold product vision and roadmap, identifying near and long-term initiatives that balance global scaling with the unique needs of local markets.
- Navigate and align cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Ops—to drive a unified strategy across competing priorities.
- Execute end-to-end by translating unstructured user pain points into clear product requirements, hypotheses, and desired outcomes.
- Lead the integration with external partners and aggregators to deliver scalable, seamless booking and ticketing flows for ground transport.
- Iterate relentlessly by distilling insights from performance dashboards, A/B testing, and user research to continuously improve the trip experience.
- Own the "messiness" of the platform, managing technical constraints and trade-offs to ensure riders and earners have a flawless, efficient journey every time.

- Experience leading cross-functional teams (Eng, Data, Design) and coordinating dependencies to prevent collisions with other teams.
- Proficient in using data science and analytics to understand product health, inform development, and lead deeply experimental teams through well-designed A/B tests.
- Highly proficient in UX/UI paradigms; able to guide design priorities and drive fast iteration cycles for new concepts.
