Role: Product Manager II

Help millions of people discover why Copilot is worth paying for.

Copilot is becoming the AI companion people reach for at work, and more and more of those moments happen on a phone. Every day, people discover something new Copilot can do for them. Your job is to make sure that, when they are ready for more, the path to a paid plan is clear, helpful and genuinely valuable. You will own real experiments on a product used around the world, learn fast and see your work land with customers in weeks, not years.

Why this role, why now

Copilot recently came together as one app across web, desktop and mobile, with chat, agents and creation in a single experience. Monetization is moving inside the product, where value is felt. Early signals on mobile are strong, and in-app purchase is now live on iOS and Android. It is an exciting moment to join: the patterns for monetizing AI are being invented now.

How we work

  • Small, empowered mission teams with clear ownership.
  • Every bet starts with a written hypothesis, is measured rigorously, and decisions are made on evidence.
  • AI-native by default: we use AI agents and tools throughout our own workflow to research, prototype, analyze and ship faster.
  • Ship fast, learn faster, scale what works.
  • India shapes global strategy here, not just execution.

You'll thrive here if…

  • You would rather own the outcome, good or bad, than be shielded from it.
  • You love turning data and customer insight into a sharp idea worth testing.
  • You form a view, test it quickly and update it when the data disagrees.
  • You thrive with high ownership and ask for help early.
  • You already use AI to work faster and keep exploring what else it can do.
  • Shipping often sounds energizing, not exhausting.

This role may not be for you if…

  • You want a fully specified plan handed to you every quarter.
  • You prefer long studies to running a test and learning from it.
  • You measure success by features launched rather than customers who find value.

Why join us

This is a chance to shape how AI is experienced and valued by people around the world, early in your career and at real scale. You will learn alongside a fast-moving, AI-native team, own outcomes from day one and grow quickly. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we would love to meet you.

In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

What you will own

At this level you own a well-scoped mission end to end and the metric that goes with it, and you grow quickly toward larger scope.

  • Upgrade moments: value-led upgrade experiences across Copilot and Microsoft 365 apps on mobile.
  • The path to paid: experiences that help people and their organizations move to paid plans with confidence.
  • An experiment portfolio: write the hypothesis, design the test, specify the telemetry, ship with engineering and design, read out the result and decide.
  • A metric that is yours: such as engagement with upgrade experiences or paid conversion, and a clear story of what moved it.

Your first 30 / 60 / 90 days

  • First 30 days: learn the product, customers and data deeply.
  • By 60 days: ship your first hypothesis-led experiment from a crisp spec engineers love.
  • By 90 days: run several experiments at once and own a metric you can move.
