Job Title

Product Management Principal Specialist

Role Summary

The Principal Product Manager will lead priority Front Office / SECO transformation initiatives from problem definition and MVP development through launch, adoption and scale. The role translates customer needs into clear product decisions and outcome-driven roadmaps, selecting the right mix of product, enablement and commercial levers to accelerate adoption.

Working across product, engineering, UX, marketing and customer-facing teams, the role will align delivery with go-to-market readiness and own outcomes beyond feature release—including activation, sustained usage, workflow migration and customer value realization. Central to this mandate is evolving Selling Platform Connect to improve how travel sellers shop, book and service content across graphical, cryptic and hybrid workflows.

What You'll Do

Own the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap

  • Own the vision, strategy and outcome-driven roadmap for priority Front Office / SECO initiatives, translating customer needs, user behavior, market insights and business priorities into clear hypotheses, adoption goals and measurable milestones.
  • Develop compelling value propositions, product narratives and investment cases that connect customer value with revenue, cost, adoption and strategic impact.
  • Define the path from MVP to scale through target segments, phased rollouts, readiness criteria and adoption measures, balancing existing workflow continuity with graphical and AI-led modernization and clear decisions to continue, adapt, reposition or stop.

Lead Adoption from MVP to Scale

  • Own the end-to-end adoption strategy from customer validation and pilots through launch, activation, usage growth, workflow migration and sustained value realization, aligned with product strategy.
  • Develop segment-specific adoption playbooks combining in-product guidance, defaults, incentives, enablement, advocacy and targeted campaigns, with clear criteria for voluntary or firmer migration approaches based on customer impact, prerequisites, risks and expected outcomes.
  • Define success measures and use product analytics, customer evidence and business indicators to assess performance, remove friction across the user journey and refine the proposition, experience or adoption approach.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, launch and customer-facing teams on positioning, readiness and enablement, turning successful pilots into repeatable go-to-market and adoption approaches that scale across customers, segments and related workflows.

Define and Use Adoption Metrics

  • Define an end-to-end adoption measurement framework covering eligibility, enablement, activation, usage depth and frequency, retention, workflow migration and value realization, with clear baselines, targets and leading indicators tied to product and business decisions.
  • Combine quantitative analytics with customer research and frontline feedback to understand adoption drivers and barriers, embedding instrumentation and analytics requirements into the roadmap before launch.
  • Establish regular performance reviews to diagnose gaps, prioritize interventions and communicate progress and trade-offs to leadership.

Drive Cross-Functional Programs

  • Lead complex cross-functional programs, aligning related roadmaps, dependencies and product decisions while preserving individual product managers’ ownership of execution.
  • Establish shared outcomes, accountabilities, decision points, risks and success measures, ensuring launch timing reflects product, commercial, operational and customer readiness.
  • Influence senior stakeholders, resolve misalignment and sustain momentum amid ambiguity and competing priorities, building reusable methods, governance and assets to scale adoption across markets, customer segments and related capabilities.

Engage Customers and Shape the Product

  • Monitor competitors, technology trends and evolving travel seller needs to identify opportunities and inform product strategy and positioning.
  • Build lasting customer and internal partnerships through discovery and co-creation, adapting product and adoption approaches to the workflows, constraints and operating models of TMCs, leisure agencies, online travel agencies and other seller segments.
  • Represent the product in executive discussions, roadmap reviews, pilots and launches, translating feedback into scalable product decisions and clearly communicating workflow value and successful transition paths.

Strengthen Product Excellence

  • Champion outcome-based planning, disciplined discovery, prioritization and post-launch learning across the product area.
  • Coach product managers and cross-functional partners on adoption thinking, product analytics, experimentation and value realization.
  • Make clear trade-offs between feature breadth, experience quality, operational readiness and adoption impact.
  • Ensure accessibility, performance, reliability and usability are treated as adoption enablers within the product definition.

What You Bring

  • Significant product management experience with evidence of leading complex B2B or enterprise initiatives from problem discovery and MVP definition to broad, sustained adoption across multiple teams, customer segments or product areas.
  • A strong record of owning product strategy and roadmaps while making difficult trade-offs across customer value, business outcome, adoption potential, delivery complexity and long-term product direction.
  • Deep practical knowledge of adoption levers, including segmentation, onboarding, enablement, in-product interventions, incentives, workflow defaults, experimentation and migration approaches.
  • Experience defining adoption funnels and using product analytics, customer insight and operational data to guide decisions.
  • Proven leadership of complex cross-functional programs without relying on direct authority.
  • Strong customer-facing and executive communication skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous product problems into clear choices, decisions and next steps.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels, from portfolio choices and senior alignment to user journeys, blockers and metric definitions.
  • Experience in travel technology, travel selling, servicing, shopping, desktop workflows or large-scale workflow transformation is highly valuable; the stronger requirement is the ability to understand complex domains quickly and turn them into clear product choices, adoption paths and measurable outcomes.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and outcome-oriented leadership style with the courage to challenge assumptions and make difficult trade-offs.
