The Role:

We are seeking a passionate engineer to lead "next-generation material development," a core driver for expanding Entegris’ world-leading Liquid Microcontamination Control (LMC) business. Join us in driving the evolution of filtration technologies that power the cutting edge of semiconductor manufacturing. 

In this role you will:

This role requires a development engineer who can put the following concepts into practice.

The concepts of: 

  • Collaborate closely with outsource suppliers 
  • Membrane development in consideration of semiconductoer application 
  • Sustained experiment method development for next-generation membrane technologies 
  • Rigor and speed in execution 

We value your ability to do the following: 

  • Managing a membrane development work in Japan. 
  • Establish new membrane experiment method for next-generation membranes. 
  • Solving technical challenge for next-generation membrane development. 
  • Support troubleshooting to other departments 
  • Collaborate proactively with the other engineering teams, applications and product marketing to drive product development that meets or exceeds customer specifications.  
  • Introduce capital equipment to expand engineering capabilities in Japan. 
  • Demonstrate willingness to complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in order to support the overall organization.  

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

  • BS or MS in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering  
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical analysis or product development  
  • Able to work fully on-site both in a lab and office environment. Remote work available upon request.   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.   

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience in R&D for filtration and separation membranes 
  • Experience with liquid filtration or purification technology  
  • Strong analytical skills including experience with SEM, ICP-MS, GC, FTIR, e.t.c. 
  • Knowledge and experience in front-end semiconductor manufacturing
