Description and Requirements

About the Role

Motorola is looking for a Product Designer specializing in UI to join the Software Monetization Design team. This hands-on individual contributor will serve as the team’s UI technical reference, creating high-quality digital experiences while mentoring designers and partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the team’s UI reference, setting high standards for visual quality and usability and driving the consistent use and evolution of the Moto Design System across digital products. 
  • Lead end-to-end design work, using user feedback and data insights to refine experiences from early concepts and user flows through high-fidelity design, prototyping, implementation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Review design work and provide actionable feedback, while mentoring designers across different levels of experience. 
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business Development to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and software monetization goals. 
  • Influence stakeholders, clearly communicate design decisions, and bring external product and UI best practices into the team.  

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive end-to-end Product Design experience, combining UX proficiency and product thinking with deep UI expertise and exceptional visual craft. 
  • Strong expertise in interface design, interaction patterns, typography, color, visual hierarchy, prototyping, components, and design systems. 
  • Proven ability to lead design projects end to end while remaining hands-on throughout execution. 
  • Experience acting as a technical reference, reviewing design work, mentoring designers, and influencing without direct people-management responsibility. 
  • Advanced English with strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and collaborate across global Product, Engineering, Design, and business teams. 
  • It’s mandatory for this role the attachment of your portfolio. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong product and business mindset, with experience balancing user needs, product goals, and business outcomes. 
  • Experience with B2C products, mobile platforms, Android ecosystems, or large-scale digital experiences. 
  • Familiarity with software monetization, subscriptions, advertising, digital services, user engagement, or conversion-focused products

A portfolio or work sample is required to apply for this role. Candidates will be asked to discuss their work during the interview process. The person best suited for this role will be able to demonstrate storytelling, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through this discussion.
