The Production Control Process Engineering Supervisor is a critical role within Tesla's manufacturing ecosystem, responsible for bridging the gap between operational execution and strategic process improvement. This individual will serve as the driving force for process improvement and execution the Production Control team - driving efficiency, reducing cost, and ensuring that material flow, inventory systems, and production processes operate at peak performance. This is not a passive role. We are looking for a self-driven people leader who is equally comfortable on the factory floor analyzing a material flow problem as they are in a conference room presenting data-driven recommendations to leadership. 

Responsibilities

  • Take projects and initiatives from the development stage through to their full effective implementation 
  • Develop and implement layout changes and support material flow and space allocation for raw materials and finished goods 
  • Set aggressive but realistic timelines for initiatives, and drive on-time completion, while keeping safety your top priority 
  • Process large amounts of operational data and use the findings to solve problems optimally 
  • Support new line setup and part change control from the Production Control side, end to end 
  • Collaborate with engineering team on capacity planning, PFEP, system functionality, work measurements and headcount planning 
  • Use proven problem solving methodologies to get to the root cause of problems, and then create processes and tools that effectively solve them 
  • Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance for a team of technicians that are technical in the design phase, execute on projects, and perform daily operational support tasks 

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering discipline, Engineering management, or equivalent experience 
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in warehousing environment is preferred 
  • Outstanding critical thinking and communication skills, with a very high level of emotional intelligence, autonomy, and servant leadership 
  • Innate ability to fully comprehend new processes and systems quickly, with high attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable process improvements in a high-volume manufacturing setting 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and databases 
  • Advanced-level MS Office skills

Expected Compensation

  • Supervisor Process Engineering - $97,200 - $145,800/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
