The Principal Creators Policy Manager is the single-threaded owner of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategy for program policies across the global Creators business. Serving millions of creators worldwide, this role protects program integrity by strengthening policies and investigating violations, while making it straightforward for well-intentioned creators to understand and comply with program terms. The principal drives resolution of complex debates, escalations, and corrective actions, anticipating trade-offs and the technology investments needed to sustain business growth. This is a highly visible position that operates across VP organizations, geographies, business lines, and functions to manage the Creators marketing channel. The role is responsible for maintaining and enforcing the the documents that govern creator behavior, our Operating Agreement and Program Policies. The principal partners with global business teams, operations, engineering, legal, PR, and customer service to drive process improvement and operational excellence by reducing defects, supporting innovation, and increasing automation.
The principal proactively identifies areas of potential risk and addresses them before they become escalations, deep-diving data and operational processes to surface customer and business pain points. They own the processes and mechanisms for policy change requests to be raised, evaluated, and concluded - defining SLAs and working cross-functionally to ensure clear documentation for repeatable, efficient, and scaled support. The role decomposes complex business problems into straightforward solutions, aligning teams toward coherent approaches and minimizing stagnation in high-priority risk areas. The principal reviews and resolves compliance issues and creator escalations up to the CEO level, root-causing issues and preventing future escalations by establishing mechanisms, submitting feature requests, and improving existing processes and SOPs. They monitor industry changes and trends, develop and maintain risk and performance metrics, and drive high-impact business analysis that identifies patterns and opportunities to improve the creator experience. This principal demonstrates high judgment and influences organizational priorities, business owners, and technology direction in areas where the strategy has not yet been defined. They represent complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to leaders, both verbally and in writing, to inform strategic choices across new business models, cross-business priorities, and their partner teams tech roadmaps.

Key job responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the global Creators business, including monitoring industry trends and emerging risk areas to get ahead of issues before they escalate
  • Own the strategy, governance, and enforcement of program policies across the Creators organization, including the Operating Agreement and Program Policies
  • Own the process, tools, and mechanisms for policy change requests, defining SLAs and ensuring clear documentation for repeatable, efficient, and scaled support
  • Review and resolve compliance issues and creator escalations up to the CEO level; root-cause problems and implement solutions (tech features, mechanisms, improved operating procedures) to prevent recurrence
  • Exercise high judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations with significant PR impact, including decisions involving creator payments and account closures
  • Partner across global business teams, operations, engineering, legal, PR, and customer service to reduce defects, increase automation, and drive operational excellence
  • Influence organizational priorities, business owners, and technology direction where strategy has not yet been defined, and drive alignment on initiatives such as single program, unified sign-up, and onsite content compliance
  • Communicate complex decisions, trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to senior leaders, both verbally and in writing, across new business models, cross-business priorities, and the global creator risk tech roadmap
  • Develop and maintain risk and performance metrics for Application Review, Influencer Moderation, Creator Content Moderation, and Fraud Investigations
  • Drive business analysis that identifies patterns and opportunities to improve the creator experience, grow the compliant creator population, and increase content quality

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Risk Management, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field
  • Experience in cybercrime and online investigations
  • Experience in compliance, audit or risk management
  • Experience with cross functional project or program delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance, operations, or a similar discipline experience
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience in investigative work with law enforcement or security agencies
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
