Principal Product Manager
We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to join the AI Platform & Tools team in the Windows Platform & Developer organization. This is a high-impact role focused on the full stack of running AI Agents on client compute - the intersection of inference runtimes, AI models from Microsoft and the open source community, optimization of device configurations with OEMs and Silicon partners, and more... You'll need to get hands on, experimenting and building POCs, staying on top of the competitive and open source landscape, driving strategy and direction, engaging with customers, and developing advocacy for the broader developer community.
Why Join Us?
As AI continues to become more maintstream in applications and user-expecations, the importance and demand for delivering meaningful capabilities for local AI inference increases. Frontier cloud models are constantly improving in capability, but so are smaller models and the chips they run on — enabling people to run increasingly capable models on client devices, delivering free inference with no required network connection or data egress. We collaborate with teams across Microsoft developing proprietary models optimized for Windows, work closely with many companies delivering capable open source or proprietary models, and partner with AMD, Intel, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm on the chips and software they run on. Microsoft Foundry on Windows is our platform for delivering these capabilities to Windows developers who work on the operating system and across 1st and 3rd party applications, and you will have impact across all facets, from Windows AI APIs to Windows ML and open source frameworks.
This role is for a PM who loves to sit at the frontier, identifying what needs to be done through hands on building and experimenting to unlock the next set of valuable capabilities for our developer community and end-users. Do you want to deliver platform capabilities that empower tens of millions of developers and run on over 1 billion devices on the worlds most widely used desktop platform?
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
